Collection of my poems

This is my first blog entry ever. Yippee!! Finally I have got my own blog :). I have been thinking about writing or rather scribble about the incidents, my travelling and random things in my life from long time. I must admit that I was lazy to sit down and jot down the things in a blog. I was encouraged by couple of colleagues to post my poems in a blog so that it can reach wider. I never knew till that time that my colleague's family too have read my poems and are looking forward for more. I was pleased to hear that and it did boost my self confidence further. Hence this blog entry and I have started my first entry with recent poems which I penned. As and when I write a new poem, I will keep appending my new poems to this post.

Collection of my poems:

Poem 8: Its you. This one from me is a sweet poem with a twist in the end. Hope you will like it.

Its you

Out in the sunshine, so bright
Lake view, a lovely sight
Indeed it is lovely weather
I always cherish our times together

Our dances together in sync
Like I care what people think!
Breezy afternoon, our bike rides!
Together in beach sands, watching tides!

You add life to my soul
Together! how about a stroll?
I am nothing without you
We are one and not two
Isn't it true?

One wish, I wish could come true!
Together in the dark besides each other
and count stars one after another
I know it will never come true
As I am your shadow and I am you!

Poem 7: Reflection

Latest poem from called as 'Reflection'. It is about how and what the world reflects to our thoughts.

Reflection

Smile and the world smiles with you
So they say which is true
Cry and you cry alone
Is that also known?

World is like a mirror
Reflects what is in you clearer
You only see what you want
So don't let the consequences taunt

What you see is not what you see
Unless your mind is set free
It is not in it
Its in you

Poem 6: I wish you a happy Diwali

This poem was written on the Diwali day to spread the festive mood. This poem is an acrostic. The poem is written in such a way that the first letter of all the lines form a message.

Poem 5: A love story
This poem is an imaginary write talking about a love story with a funny twist in the ending. This poem was published in Bangalore mirror newspaper on 31st October 2008. The online edition of the same is available at

Poem 4: Too late
This poem was inspired by the novel 'A Monk who sold his Ferrari' by Robin Sharma and I have added a dramatic ending in this poem. The poem emphasizes on following one's dreams and passions and carries message for the people who often tend to get succumbed in to the fast pace of the life.

Poem 3: Walk of my life
This poem is an imaginary write emphasizing that
one should live life to the fullest and should open eyes to see that happiness is all around and everything is beautiful in its own way.

Poem 2: Untitled
This poem written in Tamil is a love poem where the lover compares his lover to all the beautiful things. I actually wrote the poem like a film song but edited it this way to make it sound better.

For the benefit of all the people who cannot read Tamil, I have put the translation in English for the tamil poem above. As the below version is a translation from Tamil to English, the rhyming and feel may be different.

Did i get lost in your stary smile?
you are a mehndi garden which turns red just by thinking
you are a freshly blossomed colorful flower
Did i get lost in your beautiful eyes

Did i get lost in your blushing cheeks?

you are a masterpiece sculpted by Brahma

you are an angel who came down from the sky

Did i get lost in your shyness?

Did i get lost in your beautiful lips?

you are the shining stars in my sky

you are the bright full moon in my sky
I lost myself fully in your absolute beauty

and my life has become yours

with my heart filled full with love only for you

Poem 1: Change
This poem is an imaginary write talking about the highs and lows in a relationship.
