I absolutely love the John Woo movies for the stunts and art direction. This movie is a hard core action movie and portrays the beautiful Red cliff and surrounding serene mountain areas. Still the movie bores you after sometime as the plot and story are not so gripping. If you are a fan of chinese action movies/period war movies then this one is for you.
